Dipinto parte di una serie di riproduzioni del mio occhio destro. Gli sfondi delle 4 tele sono stati lavorati come fossero una tela unica, poi separati e dipinti singolarmente. Il primo dipinto della serie è stato realizzato a partire dalla foto reale dell’occhio, mentre gli altri sono ognuno la copia del dipinto precedente.
Lo scopo era quello di verificare quanti dettagli si sarebbero persi o sarebbero stati aggiunti da una copia all’altra, e quanto lo sfondo simile, ma diverso, avrebbe influito sul lavoro finale.

Painting part of a series of 4 reproductions of my right eye. The backgrounds have been painted like the canvases were a single piece, then they have been separated and painted as individual works. The first painting of the series have been painted using the photo of the eye as reference, while the other ones are each one the copy of the precedent painting. The aim of the project was to check how many details could have been lost or added during the process, and how the similar, but different backgrounds could affect the final result.
