First artwork of the new series "Comfortable in my skin", inspired by the chroma key effect. The chroma key effect, or green screen, is a post-production technique for compositing two images or video streams together based on color hues. It's heavily used in movies, commercials and videoclip.
During the 80s this effect was used to create peculiar, unforgettably kitsch videos, especially by italo disco performers. Since the 80s imaginarium influenced heavily my painting, I wanted to make an hommage to these creative videos with a serie of paintings in which only the skin parts are visible, while the rest (the context, the jewelry and the dresses) are cancelled by a background image, as if they are covered with the green hue used in chroma key technique.
