"GUTTA CAVAT LAPIDEM"
In 2018, while I was in Mexico for my first solo exhibition outside Italy, I had the chance to learn the technique of tile murals from the master muralist Cienfuegos. As soon as I came back to Italy, I decided to realize a mural in my village, Scalvaia, using the same technique. This is how "Gutta cavat lapidem" was born: the artwork's name is a latin motto that stands for "Dripping water hollows out stone", an hymn to perseverance. The tile mural measures 207x160 cm and it can be visited freely.
