DOGMOCLASTIA
ONGOING PROJECT

Is art sacred? I asked myself this question a lot of times and I came to a logic conclusion: no, it is not. And the artist's ego is not sacred as well. I looked to my older works and I decided that some of them are simply not worth it. I humbly decided to overcome my own ego through the destruction of some of them, using them to create brand new art. Covered with gesso and painted over with my signature leaves, using gold and oils, I use erasure to purify.
The leaves invade he canvas like brambles invade abandoned fields, cities and castles. Catharsis comes with a price to pay.
